Surviving the Global Panic

A bit off topic here -- but I've become pretty interested in the possible psychological/social effects that the recent bombardment of bad news might be having on some of us. Fear really does breed fear and the media seem to be competing with each other to produce panic-inducing headlines -- where words and phrases like 'Crash', 'Bloodbath', 'Meltdown' and 'Blind Panic' figure pretty high in any reports.

So it might be a good time to read articles such as this one from John Naish of the Times Online: How to Survive the Global Panic.
